Belgian Cuisine

I’m studying in Belgium for the semester, but usually we leave on the weekends. This weekend, because prices were too high to travel anywhere (we waited to long to book flights), we were able to try a couple of different types of foods that Belgium is known for. We tried mussels and fries (or Mosselen and frites) and some type of beef stew brewed in beer that I can’t remember the name of, that also included fries of course 🙂

Sorry for the poor quality picture…the lighting was  terrible in the restaurant.

We’ve also eaten at a restaurant called The Tearoom which is like a fancier version of IHOP from home. It was delicious and relatively inexpensive…if you’re ever in Antwerp I would highly recommend it. It’s located near some great shopping too!

If there is anything else you think I should try in Belgium, let me know 🙂
